Our partner, a movement created in 1947 to promote Quebec culture, with 19 member societies across the province, is looking for a Development Director. Their mission is to defend and promote Quebec identity, language, history, culture and heritage.

Position summary

  • Define objectives and operationalize the action plan, in terms of strategies, tactics, events and campaigns, execution schedule and performance indicators.
  • Identify and oversee the implementation of new autonomous and private sources of income based directly or indirectly on the mission.
  • Analyze the performance of existing projects and identify levers for generating more autonomous revenue.
  • Analyze or identify commercial initiatives related to existing activities that could enhance the current business model.
  • Supervise the actions of the Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager, and support him/her in the business networking required to carry out his/her task.
  • Represent the organization and its entities in business circles relevant to the development of new projects or the identification of new opportunities.
  • Participate in the reflections leading to the new strategic planning, scheduled to begin in 2025.
  • Manage budgets to carry out external studies required for the proper evaluation of selected projects.
  • Participate actively in the management committee.

Skills and competencies to excel in the role and profile sought

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Significant experience in solicitation and market development.
  • Good knowledge of the cultural milieu.
  • Significant experience in solicitation and market development.
