Our partner, a well-known Quebec company in the manufacturing and construction sectors, is actively looking for its next human resources consultant. The company's tailor-made services, specializing in civil engineering work and heavy equipment rental, is a reference in the Quebec City area.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Hiring management and personnel monitoring.
  • Proceed with the reception and integration of new employees.
  • Support executives in the application of disciplinary measures.
  • Support managers in the evaluation process of their employees and their entire work team.
  • Management of staff vacations and leave requests.
  • Supervise and support the payroll agent in the performance of their work.
  • Administer the follow-up of injured employee files and claims with the CSST.
  • Ensure compliance and application of laws and regulations regarding health and safety at work.
  • Coordinate the monitoring of accident investigations and keep the company’s health and safety statistics up to date.
  • Ensure the operation and implementation of a joint health and safety committee at work.
  • Participate in and lead workplace health and safety meetings.
  • Carry out the inspection of first aid kits and the training and identification of first aid workers in the workplace.

Skills and competencies to excel in the role and profile sought


  • 3 years of experience as a human resources advisor in a construction company or in a related field.
  • Good knowledge of French.
  • Experience with ICC software, a strong asset.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills, availability, versatility, ability to prioritize, confidentiality, respect for professional secrecy, rigor, analytical skills, listening skills and communication skills.
